Open Table Talks

What is Open Table Talks?

Woven Community believes that Church is meant to be a community filled with healing and reconciliation. This is why we created Open Table Talks—it’s not church, but an open space to gather, learn, heal and hope as we navigate the complexities and nuances of faith. Consider it a space to explore taboo topics in the historical Church landscape with the goal of healing wounds.

This month’s topic: Faithfully Queer.

Join us for Open Table Talk’s first conversation, as we hear the personal experiences of members of the queer community discussing personal experiences that have changed their own perspective on the intersection of the queer community and the Church, what key scriptures influenced this journey, and why their minds were changed.

Hosted and moderated by a group of progressive Christians, our first gathering offers a space to learn from and dialogue with members of the LGBTQ community, allies, and others committed to the full inclusion of queer people.

Audience Q&A will drive this conversation. This is an event that you will not want to miss.
